Introduced to the Thoroughbred industry early in life, I knew I wanted to be a part of this fascinating business.

After two decades of involvement, I have worked alongside and interviewed owners, breeders, trainers, jockeys, racetrack executives and industry leaders as editor-in-chief of The Florida Horse, Wire to Wire and managing editor of California Thoroughbred. I have also contributed to ESPN.com’s horse racing page, as well as other industry trade publications. My story, “Happy Horses,” appeared in Chicken Soup for the Horse Lover’s Soul , volume 1, published by Health Communications in 2003.

A multiple American Horse Publications award winner, I have made numerous television and radio appearances reporting on the Kentucky Derby and Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships. I am a voting member of the National Racing Hall of Fame and Museum in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and a former board member of the Ocala/Marion County Chamber of Commerce and the Public Education Foundation of Marion County.

These days, in addition to managing this website, I am a frequent contributor to The Florida Horse magazine and Wire to Wire. I also freelance for The Blood-Horse magazine, SPEEDHORSE magazine and consult with clients on advertising/marketing programs.

Thanks so much for checking out the website. There is never a shortage of noteworthy accomplishments in this business to share with interested readers. Many of them are posted here. Feel free to look around. I look forward to sharing more of your stories in the future.
