Two youngsters from Eddie Woods’ consignment worked the fastest eighths on Friday during the under tack preview for Monday’s Fasig-Tipton Florida Sale at Palm Meadows.

Hip No. 65, a bay filly by Malibu Moon, worked a co-bullet eighth of 10.0 as did hip No. 67, a Lion Heart colt. The filly is out of stakes winner More Than Pretty, by More Than Ready. The colt is produced from the Valley Crossing mare Obligation North and is from the family of Florida-bred millionaire Weigelia.

Working the fastest quarter was hip No. 64, an Any Given Saturday colt who covered the distance in 21.2. Consigned by Off The Hook, agent, the colt is from the family of Grade 2 stakes winner Adriano and stakes-placed Gold d’Oro.

The fastest turf worker was hip No. 59, a Mr. Greeley filly who breezed an eighth in 10.1. Consigned by Kings Equine, agent, the filly is from the family of Vicar.

The sale gets underway at noon on Monday at Palm Meadows in Boynton Beach.
