Hernan Parra brought one horse, a Florida-bred filly by Keyed Entry, to the OBS April Sale in Ocala this week.
Parra acquired the filly for just $5,700 as a yearling at last year’s OBS August sale. The filly sold on Tuesday for $260,000 to John Fort.
Another pinhooking success on Tuesday was hip No. 469, a Tiznow filly. Ricky Leppala bought the filly as a yearling for $12,000 last year and sold it Tuesday for $225,000 to trainer Mark Casse, agent.
The session topper on the second day of the sale was a colt by Majestic Warrior, who sold for $400,000 to Narvick International. The session topper during the Monday session, a filly by Medaglia d’Oro, also brought $400,000 from Hannah Smith’s Southwind Stables.
The sale has shown solid gains in all the key statistical categories through the first two days.
