Post Positions Drawn for Arkansas Derby

Post positions were drawn on Wednesday for Saturday’s Arkansas Derby (G1) at Oaklawn Park.

Secret Circle, winner of the Southwest Stakes (G3) and the Rebel Stakes (G2) over the track, drew post position No. 5, while Bob Baffert’s other runner, Bodemeister, drew the far outside in post No. 11.

The Arkansas Derby field in post position order is as follows: 1. Cozzetti; 2. Stat; 3. Najjaar; 4. Jake Mo; 5. Secret Circle; 6. Isn’t He Clever; 7. Optimizer; 8. Atigun; 9. Sabercat; 10. Raconteur; 11. Bodemeister.

       No reason he can’t be competitive with this group. He had a nice return race at Gulfstream Park last time out; he showed class last year at two finishing second to Union Rags. He has the look of a live long shot!
