Silver Max Wires Transylvania Foes

Mark Bacon and Dana Wells’ Silver Max took the lead out of the gate and cruised to a 5 1/2-length victory in the $100,000 Transylvania Stakes (G3) on Friday, opening day of the Keeneland meet.
Trained by Dale Romans and piloted by Robby Albarado, Silver Max covered the 1 1/16 miles on turf in 1:41.81. Travel Advisory finished second in the 24th running of the race for 3-year-olds.
The victory was worth $60,000 and increased Silver Max’s earnings to $169,475 with a record of 9-3-5-0. The winner is a son of Badge of Silver.
